The ionizer
The ionizer is of particular importance, as static charges on samples often go unnoticed, but can still lead to considerable measurement deviations. This influence can be reliably eliminated by using an ionizer.
In many laboratory and production environments, static charges arise due to friction, movement of dry samples or unsuitable climatic conditions. These static charges result in the sample either "sticking" to the pan during weighing or appearing to be heavier or lighter, which in turn has a significant impact on the measurement result.
The ionizer neutralizes these electrostatic charges by releasing positive and negative ions into the ambient air in a controlled manner. As soon as these ions reach the surface of the sample or container, they equalize the existing charge and thus eliminate the potential source of weighing errors.
A major advantage of the A&D ionizer is its cross-manufacturer compatibility. It can not only be used with A&D balances, but can also be easily used in combination with other balance brands. This makes it a particularly flexible solution for existing laboratory equipment.
Integrating an ionizer into the weighing process is a simple but extremely effective measure to improve the reproducibility and accuracy of measurements.
