 Foundation of VITARIS AG

Creation through management buyout

VITARIS, based in Baar (Canton of Zug, Switzerland), was founded on March 1, 2003.
The foundation resulted from a management buyout of the Swiss trading business of INTEGRA Biosciences AG. Members of the management at the time decided to continue the sales activities independently in order to secure existing customer relationships and market penetration in the life science product sector in Switzerland.

Objective of the new company

The establishment of VITARIS has ensured that the active sale of all brands previously distributed by INTEGRA Biosciences in Switzerland will continue seamlessly. This includes not only the products of INTEGRA Biosciences itself, but also all other brands from the previous portfolio.

In addition, VITARIS took over the maintenance and technical support for all INTEGRA products in order to continue to offer existing and new customers the highest quality of service. This continuity enabled VITARIS AG to quickly establish itself as a reliable partner for laboratories, research institutes and industrial users in Switzerland.

Operational launch and market positioning

The direct transfer of sales and service meant that VITARIS was able to commence operations immediately without any interruptions for existing customers. This made it possible to quickly establish itself as a:

  • Reliable partner for laboratories
  • Competent provider for research institutions
  • Important supplier for industrial users

in the Swiss market. The strategic orientation of the company's foundation was based on focus, service quality and continuity.
