What motivated VITARIS and ELPRO to enter into this partnership?
Danilo Nuzzi: The partnership arose from the clear overlap between our markets and customers. Both VITARIS and ELPRO serve the same industries, such as healthcare, biotech, and pharmaceuticals, and work with the same laboratories and research institutions. VITARIS offers high-quality refrigerators and ultra-low temperature freezers, while we provide the appropriate monitoring solutions . In the field of pharmaceutical quality control in particular, equipment and monitoring go hand in hand today: only by combining reliable storage and precise monitoring can the highest quality standards be maintained. We wanted to make these synergies available to our customers.
How did the collaboration come about specifically—was there a specific trigger or customer need?
Patrik Betschon: At VITARIS, we are often asked about data loggers. It was important to us to be able to offer a comprehensive solution and consulting services, but until now we lacked the right monitoring system. In ELPRO, we have found a local partner that meets our quality standards and those of our customers. We hit it off right from the start and are very pleased about the partnership.

Patrik Betschon: Laboratory managers, quality managers, and technicians benefit directly because when ordering a PHCBi device comes with a ELPRO data logger is integrated as standard. Existing ELPRO customers receive everything from a single source, and potential customers can expand their monitoring system with ELPRO data loggers at any time. This makes everyday laboratory work easier, more efficient, and continuously monitored.
Which data logger system do you receive when you place an order with Vitaris?
Danilo Nuzzi: When ordering a PHCbi device (-80 °C / -150 °C) through VITARIS, customers receive a ELPRO data logger and access to ELPRO's elproCLOUD monitoring software. The ELPRO data logger is equipped with an externally calibrated Pt-100 sensor. The scalable elproCLOUD software can be easily installed wirelessly and without IT support. Via intuitive web access, it provides real-time insights into temperature and humidity values, immediate automated alarm messages, and reliable reports. For significantly less manual effort and informed, quick decisions.
ELPRO also covers the software license fees for each measuring point sold to customers in the first year. The software license fee is therefore only payable from the second year onwards, provided the customer actively opts for it. Optionally, data loggers for incubators/climate chambers and refrigerators (+4 °C to -40 °C), for example, can also be purchased from VITARIS, ELPRO. Here too, the software license fees (per measuring point) will be covered by ELPRO in the first year.
